Step-by-Step Instructions
Crochet The Solid Circular Base (Rounds 1-3)
Make a Magic Ring (or chain 4 and sl st to form a ring) with your 4.0mm hook.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), work 11 dc into the magic ring. Pull ring tight. Sl st into top of ch-3 to join. (12 dc).

Transition Round & Rim Stability (Round 4)
Round 4 (Ridge): Ch 1 (does not count as st), working strictly in the Back Loop Only (BLO), work 1 sc in each of the 36 sts around.
Sl st to the first sc to join. (36 sc).

4 Hanging Straps & Top Ring Assembly
Place stitch markers at 4 equidistant points around the rim (every 4 to 5 arches).
Strap 1: Join yarn at marker 1 with sl st. Chain 60 firmly (approx 18 inches). Sl st around the wooden ring 3 times to anchor, then sl st back down the chain stitches to return to rim. Fasten off.
